No truer words spoken, eh? I most definitely agree with this week’s quote.

I would like to think as I have gotten older that I can a. own up when I’ve arsed up and b.  actually, realise that mistakes help us learn and grow. That said I will actively try not to make them. I have plenty of other ways to grow and learn instead of arsing up. The realism is I am human and humans arse up even when we actively try not to. I think how we chose to respond once we have realised we arsed up or when someone pulls us on that mistake is a reflection of who we are and whether or not we actively aware of what we were doing to begin with.

This quote just makes me think of the sex blogging community and the past year. I really didn’t plan on my post spirling off that direction but honestly, it is peppering inside me as I type. The way everything has been divided, it really didn’t need to go that way. All it needed was the people who hurt others to own what they did, apologise, and do better. The thing is sadly the quote does really come true here because the mistakes those involved in led to the discovery of a problem much bigger.

I have written far more in-depth posts about it all here:

I too have been thinking a lot about all that happened in the same bubble.
I guess sometimes things like that need to happen, in order to move on. And maybe see mistakes more clearly.

I had so much more |I wanted to write for this but I just ran out of time to do so… I am sad and angry still that it all happened and that such a divide was created <3 🙁 x
