We-Vibe Melt Review

posted by LSB February 12, 2020 0 comments

There are so many suction style toys, on the market now – it is hard to decide which one could be for you, which is exactly why I signed up to review the We-Vibe Melt. We-Vibe’s first attempt at a suction toy and I am going to compare it to other suction vibes – the Lelo Sona, Satisfyer range and Womanizer.

Some stats about the We-Vibe melt from We-Vibe’s Website:

Body-safe silicone — free from phthalates and BPA and made without latex

Vibrator battery
USB rechargeable lithium ion polymer battery

Charge time
90 minutes

Run time
Up to 2 hours

126 mm x 24 mm
x 10 mm

Two year

The first big difference is We-Vibe have actually encased their toy completely in silicone meaning unlike all the other toys, the head is actually firmly attached to the toy. Womanizer and Satisfyer all have toys that have a removable head. The Sona however, is also encased in silicone however thankfully the similarities die there and the We-Vibe Melt doesn’t have that metal bit on it.

The next big difference is weight and user controls. The We-Vibe Melt is so light – light to the point you begin to wonder where the hell all that power is coming from. In fact, I am pretty certain my phone is heavier – meaning this toy is bloody awesome for less abled folks. The user controls are extremely easy to navigate through too. (+) and (-) buttons increase or decrease through the 12 intensity levels and holding down (-) powers off the toy, while the holding down the (+) button powers it on.

Using similar charging methods as first seen in the We-Vibe Nova, a strong magnetic connection, which thankfully doesn’t break free once in position. The charging connection can be found at the bottom of the toy under the (-) button.

We-Vibe have recently joined forces with Wow Tech – the company responsible for the ThWomanizer. So essentially you have the brains behind the original suction toy working with the brains behind some of the most powerful vibrators in the market. I had very high expectations for the We-Vibe Melt… The question would it melt me? Ya, I know – I just went there… Lol.

As the battle for suction toys continues – I have been a firm campaigner for the Womanizer Pro 40 and the Womanizer Premium over any of them. Satisfyer does work for me but Womanizer just has a little more edge.

Does the We-Vibe Melt work for me?

I think the We-Vibe Melt has changed my feelings on all of them and honestly, I really didn’t think I would ever be typing those words – I was a firm supporter of Womanizer Pro 40 and the Womanizer Premium but if you were to ask me now which to buy? I would recommend you to get the Melt for many reasons.

It is quieter, like A LOT quieter. With each toy at their highest speeds, the Melt cannot be heard as the Pro 40 roars over it. I never actually realized how loud the Pro 40 was until I put it up against the We-Vibe Melt. The Melt is also quieter than all Satisfyer models and the Lelo Sona. The Premium is about the only contender to compare against regards noise.

All toys fall under the suction category yet the We-Vibe Melt is the only one to actually suck. It actually latches on to my clit and maintains that suction. The silicone is quite soft and velvety so I can push against my body if I need to. Like all other suction toys – I like to use them as if they are thrusting against my clit. The Melt allows me to achieve this and doesn’t lose suction – the seal it has formed holds and keeps that pressure I enjoy. It took me a while to get used to the sensation from the Melt because honestly, it is in a league of its own in comparison to other suction toys!

I lash on the water-based lube and thrust way – it is like getting raspberries lown on my clit while it is gently sucked at the same time. It gets me off every single time with no problems. It is small enough to include it for partnered sex. It is non-intrustive and easily fits between my legs.

The App:

The app can be downloaded via the Apple or Play store and is super easy to use. I have gone into a lot more detail about how it works here but to sum it up quickly, you need to ‘connect’ to one another and ask for permission before you can actually interact with each other using the APP. The app is very easy to navigate around and gives you the exact amount of juice remaining on the battery so you will always know if you need to charge up your toy before use.

Personally I feel you don’t need to use the app for personal play but could work well for LDRs.

Overall thoughts:

From a user point of view, the We-Vibe Melt really is flawless. Super quiet, super light, easy to navigate and doesn’t lose suction. Happy to say it really sucks, in all the best ways.
