Sola Sync Wireless Wand Review

I don’t think I’ve actually come across toy packaging quite as detailed and as luxurious as the Sola range and all the range, well the bits I’ve gotten, come like this. So much thought and effort has gone into the packaging of this Sola Sync Wireless Wand.

Once you open the lid of the pastel ombre coloured box, you see your Sola Sync and it’s cute remote nestled safely on a plastic moulded shelf. Once you lift this, you’ll find the instructions, a USB charger cable and plug (2 prong) and an antibacterial storage bag. The plug, cable and storage bag all come in boxes too and while I do think it’s a lovely touch, I can’t help feel it’s a little unnecessary too. It’s just more cardboard to recycle in my opinion. I will, however, be keeping the outer box as it’s far too cute and pretty damn sturdy just to dispose of.

The charging cable supplied actually branches off into a fork as the supplied remote is actually rechargeable too. And both prongs of the cable are identical so no fighting with the cable to figure out which end charges what. Awesome! I am very impressed the remote is rechargeable too – I’ve not comes across this before so it makes a refreshing change not to have to go root for a battery.

Both the Sola Sync and remote will emit a flashing glowing light while charging and it’s like for like with regards charging and playtime. An hour and a half charge will give roughly an hour and a half play time. I have found this to be accurate if the wand is used on lower speeds – the battery does, however, drain quicker if higher speeds are used but this would be the same for most toys in my opinion. Once fully charged, the LEDs will stop flashing and emit a static light instead. It is also worth noting I find the battery life of the remote not so great so it does needs to be charged each time you charge up the Sync.

The Sola Sync Wireless Wand has quite an unusual shape in comparison to the typical idea of a wand – it’s quite long at 14 inches and the handle is quite wide and flat. It weighs 271g which considering its a wand is virtually nothing.  I am really surprised at how light the Sync is. The overall design of the Sync focuses on an all-around user experience. The extra wide handle helps the user to maintain a good grip in use and one person massages are possible because of how long the handle is. This also makes the Sola Sync Wireless Wand the perfect toy for folks who may have restricted movement or mobility issues.

The wand head isn’t the ‘typical’ wand style head either – it’s a little more elongated and is very flexible. It bends with the body but still maintains maximum contact. The entire piece is coated is a soft silicone which means it is 100% waterproof and I am loving the rose gold trim which complements the purple just beautifully. Overall, the aesthetics of the Sola Sync Wireless Wand is just on point.

From a user perspective though, how do I rate the Sola Sync Wireless Wand?

The Sola Sync has 10 functions – 5 patterns and 5 steady vibrations. You need to push the middle button (0) to power on and off the toy. This takes a few seconds. The (+) and (-) buttons navigate through the functions. The (+) starts on the steady vibrations and the (-) on the patterns.

The lower steady vibrations up to the third setting work for me. I find the fourth and fifth setting quite buzzy and the toy to be quite loud when the higher speeds are on. The patterns don’t really do much for me from a climax point of view if I’m honest. The wand can make me climax but I feel I need to work for that orgasm. I feel if I add a dildo into the equation, I can get off a lot quicker. I feel if it perhaps had an attachment that helped to direct the vibrations better, like the Noji W3 wand heads – I would climax easier with this Sync.

From a massage point of view though – it’s spectacular. Deep, rumbly vibrations that penetrate so well. The weight of the Sync means it can be used to massage for longer than the usual typical wand and that flexible head really gets into my shoulders which I really love. We personally love it more from a body massage perspective – it’s a bonus it can be me off too but for us, it will be used as a body massage aid.
