Review: Jopen Comet Wand II (Jopen Key Comet II)

I have wanted the Jopen Comet Wand II since forever – It has been a bucket list toy for me ever since I took interest in sex toys many moons ago. Question is – Was it really worth that wait?

The Jopen Comet Wand II is one of those ‘must-have’ toys so many sex bloggers rave on about because it has g-spotting abilities like no other toy out there. So naturally of course, I wanted it. And when the lovely folks over at Betty’s Toy Box agreed to send me one for review – I really cannot word how excited I was to finally own one of these bad boys! And in blue <3 So much love for the blue!

The packaging for the Jopen Comet Wand II is quite pretty. The outer sleeve slides off to reveal a flip top open style box which on opening you’ll find the wand nestled safely in foam. Also inside is a USB charger cable, instructions and a storage pouch. The charging cable that comes with it is black, (like many other cables!) but Jopen have thankfully written ‘Key’ on the business end so among my cable box it is very easy to find.

The Jopen Comet Wand II is charged via magnetic pin point which can be found at the back of the wand and it takes approx 4 hours to charge. This will provide you 2 hours of playtime on medium speeds.

The wand is approx 9.5 inches in length -just over 5 inches of that is insertable and it is 5 inches in circumference at the widest point, the head. The shaft is just over 3.5 inches in circumference.

The Jopen Comet Wand II is surprisingly light – 183 g. I am seriously impressed as I had expected it to be a lot heavier. Its sibling, the original Jopen Comet Wand was (sadly discontinued) made from glass and coated in silicone so I guess this is where I got my presumptions regarding the weight from. Jopen has continued on with the same look of the original – kept up the ‘glass effect’ by using shiny ABS plastic as an alternative. As a result it vibrates and is really light. Sounds like a winning combination, right?

Well, until I powered it on …

To power on/off  the Jopen Comet Wand II, you hold the shiny ‘Key’ button for a few seconds. When I powered it into life, my heart sunk. I heard a mild buzzy waspy noise which I have learned usually resonates from toys that don’t and won’t work for me. Oh, man! All this time – so much want and this to happen. Also the Jopen site claim it’s ‘whisper quiet’ – I wouldn’t go that far. It isn’t overly noisy but it’s a long way away from whisper quiet.

OK – ‘Well you didn’t sign yourself up for this on the bases of vibrations. It’s all about the shape’ – I told myself. That beautiful ‘J’ that ends with a very pronounced rounded bulbous end – oozing targeted g spot stimulation. I knew , I just knew I’d love the shape. If the vibrations worked – that would be the icing on the cake!

Well . . . . THEY DO!!!! The vibrations of the Jopen Comet Wand II feel bloody amazing in use. A seriously satisfying surprise.

Lathered in water based lube, I inserted the Jopen Comet Wand II and it instantly hit my g spot and felt rather spectacular. I prefer swaying toys like this over and back against my g spot to get me off unless there is a strong edge on the toy like my Ella for example . Then, I prefer to ping it by popping it in and out. The Jopen Comet Wand’s firm, bulbous head doesn’t feel draggy in use as the silicone is smooth but if thrusting quickly, I’d recommend extra lube on it and the shaft as it will become draggy.

In use and even though, I had already prepared myself for disappointment, the Comet’s vibrations are Wow! I was seriously surprised. I genuinely expected my g spot to not even entertain them but instead I find myself automatically firing it into life every time I use it.

I can g spot orgasm with the Jopen Comet Wand II easily but I prefer to use it with my Womanizer Pro 40. I sit the Pro 40 just above my clitoral hood so the sensations are just running down the sides of my clitoris. It provides ‘just’ enough stimulation because if I were to sit the Pro 40 directly on my clit with Jopen Comet Wand II inserted and powered on, I’d have already come by the time you read the end of this sentence. That is not an exaggeration – the combination of the two really blows the head off me.

There are 7 different vibration patterns to chose from and you change them by pressing on the power button. They vary from flicky, pulsating, constant and increase/decrease. I personally enjoy the flicky/jumpy ones as the replicate a finger internally for me. I’m not generally one for internal vibrations – like I really need a combination of an amazing shape as well decent vibrations for my insides to even take notice. But the Jopen Comet Wand II has really made me reconsider my feelings.

It’s not a buzzy, buzzy I’m gonna numb you vibe and it’s not a deep, deep rumbly vibe either. I find it very clever there isn’t an option to increase speeds on the wand because I genuinely feel the power queen in me would try to increase them and fall outta love with it.

It is also 100% waterproof so clean up isn’t an issue and it can be used in the bath / shower.

Overall – it is a bucket list toy I finally own and I love it. I already knew I’d love the shape but the internal vibrations it provides have really surprised me. I am happy to say a toy I have lusted after for so long has provided me with some seriously satisfying orgasms.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Betty’s Toybox for sending me the Jopen Comet Wand II in exchange for an honest and impartial review this however in no way changes my opinion on the item. What I honestly think, you read! All images displayed of Jopen Comet Wand II are taken by myself!
