I can’t help but feel bittersweet writing about the Lelo Ella.
It makes me rather sad that Lelo had to arse things up and make the decisions they did regarding their ambassador for their Hex condoms because so far my experience with Lelo toys and how they work for my anatomy has been fantastic. I won’t drivel on about it as it has been covered many times before.
When I started working with loveyourselfonline, I was asked to pick a few things out I’d be interested in and the Lelo Ella was the second item I was sent Loveyourselfonline also sent me the House of Eros carpet beater too and if you fancy giving my review of that a read, it can be found here.
The Lelo Ella isn’t my first Lelo item. I also own the Gigi2 which I actually bought because the Ella wasn’t available at the time. I knew this shape was going to work for me and the Ella fixes the only issue I had with the Gigi2.
The Ella is approx. 7 inches in entire length – made entirely of silicone I guess it’s safe to say the entire dildo could be shoved up there if you wanted to though – I wouldn’t really recommend doing that. And just so we are clear, I *really* wouldn’t recommend that if we are talking anal play. The Ella isn’t suitable for anal play because it doesn’t have a flared base. However, Ella can be used vaginally, using either side, giving the option of multiple types of stimulation.
The silicone Lelo use is exquisite – smooth, soft, seamless and super silky. Honestly, there really isn’t enough adjectives to describe it. It is non-porous, hypoallergenic and is completely phthalates free.
I usually don’t need to use any lube while playing it and it wouldn’t drag against me, however, to move the Ella as fast as I need to come with it, I opt to use lube to prevent frictions burns (>.< LOL) Bless my g-spot but it really does enjoy a good battering. The curved shaft was made with my g-spot in mind and it really does caress it, wonderfully. So much so, the Ella has given me multiple g-spot orgasms – something other toys have struggled to do.
Above, I mentioned the Ella helps fix the issue I had with the Gigi2 – the length of the handle. The Ella is longer and allows me to be able the thrust better with it, I always felt the handle wasn’t long enough with the Gigi2.
The packaging Lelo use really adds to the overall luxurious feel. On opening the sturdy cardboard box, my Ella greeted me sitting on a hardened plastic molded tray – both over it and under it which kept it in place in transit. Ella also comes with its own satin storage pouch, a sachet of Lelo lube and you even get a manufacturer’s’ guarantee with it too.
Overall, I really love my Lelo Ella – if anything it has increased my thirst for more Lelo toys.
The Lelo Ella was sent to me in exchange for an honest and impartial review – this however in no way changes my opinion on the item. What I honestly think, you read! All images displayed of Lelo Ella are taken by myself!
