Review: Tantus Goddess handle

This review is hard for me to write because the Tantus Goddess handle and I just don’t get on. God, I have tried and I mean really have tried but it really ain’t happening. It’s one of those prime examples where a sex toy, even though all I have ever read/heard regarding the Tantus Goddess handle is good, just didn’t work for me.

Firstly, I’ll talk about the positives. I love the handle. It adds so much versatility to how the dildo can be used. I love to cum while on my stomach – I find being in that position enhances the intensity of my orgasms. After a conversation one evening with Star from Blissfully Orgasmic, she mentioned how she had tried a handled dildo in a similar position and I knew a handled dildo was for me. I still think one is but maybe just not the Goddess.

The Tantus Goddess handle is approx 11 in length. It has an insertable length of 6 and a half inches, a diameter of 1 and half inches. With a circumference of 4 and a half inches, it’s far from being a beast like its sibling, the Tantus Cush which has a circumference of only an inch bigger. I feel however, the smoothness of the Goddess handle allows it to glide against my skin effortlessly. The handle comes in two colours – strawberry and the beautiful midnight purple I was sent to review. I personally love this purple colour – I also own the Curve in the same colour. The handle feels silkier to hold than the insertable end of the dildo, which I find is smoother. The handle also has finger grips in place, allowing good grip to be maintained even when hands are slippery.

The insertable end of the dildo is approx 6 and half inches – though as it’s all made from body safe silicone if you fancied taking more of it, I’m sure you could. I however, can’t manage more than about 2 /2 and half inches. Now, I’m not entirely sure why that is; I do think it’s down to my anatomy and how the bumps along the shaft click against my pubic bone. I have had a similar issue with a piece of ribbed glass I own too. The silicone used to make the Goddess handle is very firm. It is really like a sign parks in front of entrance to my vag saying “Nope!”.

Bumpy Shaft

I have even been blindfolded, flipped on my belly and taken various other dildos such as the Tantus Vamp, which is made from the same firm silicone the Goddess is and still I can tell when my OH uses the Goddess on him. I can feel it click again and it just doesn’t work. It also doesn’t matter the position I’m in, how aroused/wet I am or even the different ways it can be angled because of the handle allows that versatility. The head of the Goddess isn’t an issue. For me, I think, it’s the bumps along the shaft that cause my vag to dislike the Goddess so much. I do love the swirls that run along the sides too but as I’ve struggle with the Goddess in use, I’ve not been able to experience the swirls properly.

Really flexible

I love the handle though. I’d love more dildos to feature a handle. It’s an ingenious way to add another dimension to how a dildo can be used especially for solo play when you have short arms like I do. It is really flexible as well. I am so gutted it didn’t work for me, more than my words can ever express. But, like I said at the start of my review, it’s a prime example of one of those situations where something will work for one – doesn’t always work for another.

However, if unlike me, internal textures work for you, then I can highly recommend the Goddess handle based on it’s quality, firmness, versatility and overall awesomeness because it’s a Tantus product.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Tantus for sending me the Goddess handle in exchange for an honest and impartial review this however in no way changes my opinion on the item. What I honestly think, you read! All images displayed of Tantus Goddess handle are taken by myself!

Aww, that’s sucky, that you got a by-all-accounts awesome toy that just didn’t work. I hate that that’s even a risk. Thanks for being honest about it, though- I always get squinty when I see review blogs with nothing but glowing reviews.
