Review: Kinky Tails Pastel Pony Glass Butt Plug (Unicorn tail)

The want of a multi-coloured tail was spurred on by my awe of unicorns. And for no other reason than I wanted to parade around with a unicorn tail. Bondara made that want a reality when the sent me over the  Kinky Tails Pastel Pony Glass Butt Plug for review.

I didn’t actually take any pictures of the packaging because it was fairly basic but sufficient enough to protect the tail in transit. The entire piece was covered by what looked to me like a hairnet and then it was popped into in bag of bubble wrap. No tags of any description were attached – personally I would have preferred a care label of some sort because when I went onto the Bondara site to check prices it informed me the tail was detachable. Now, this was the first time I had paid attention to this. The Kinky Tails Pastel Pony Glass Butt Plug is in fact detachable by a screw mechanism but it took me a while of messing around with it to actually discover that.

The entire piece weights approx 249g. The plug itself is 136g and the hair piece 113g. And that is a lot of weight to keep gripped in your ass. The plug on it’s own is extremely comfortable to wear and very manageable to hold onto in use. In fact, on it’s own it weights less than the Laid B.1 or the Rose Glass plug. It is very easy to insert due to it’s tapered end and also, it isn’t very bulbous meaning it is a very suitable plug for beginners, in my opinion.

In use as a tail though, Kinky Tails Pastel Pony Glass Butt Plug isn’t very practical for anything other than being a ‘show pony’. I find you really need to grip onto it keep it in while you are walking around. And if parading around in your highest heels isn’t hard enough – trying to do that while clenching your butt like there’s no tomorrow, it’s hard! It doesn’t sound very sexy, does it?

I love the colours of the Kinky Tails Pastel Pony Glass Butt Plug – vibrant pastel candy coloured shades which add to the unicorn experience.

Personally, I feel the Kinky Tails Pastel Pony Glass Butt Plug is really for decorative purposes. To lie there and look pretty.

The plug is well made – the screw attachment is fantastic. Really strong and keeps the hair piece in place. As well as that, the embed screw bit in the plug has no notion of dislodging itself. Trust me – I know! I spent long enough pulling at it before I discovered the screw. The hair used for the tail is similar to the hair used for the not overly expensive hair extensions. It can get a little tangled but wash it, condition it and this stops it from tangling as much.

Bondara also include a velvet storage bag to keep it safe while not in use.

Overall – I like it but I don’t love it. I feel if the bulb end was slightly wider the plug would be perfect. The gradient from the bulb end and the stem is too gentle – there is no step in it and I feel because the weight of the plug with the addition of lube makes it impossible to keep the plug in while walking around. While lying down , it wasn’t so much an issue. But unicorns should parade around and feel their ‘tail’ swish…

The Kinky Tails Pastel Pony Glass Butt Plug was sent to me from Bondara in exchange for an honest and impartial review – this however in no way changes my opinion on the item.
