Review: Tantus Beginner Ball Gag

Oh mannnnn, on opening the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag I was automatically hit with the smell of leather. Something completely unexpected, something I totally adore and this has made me love this ball gag before I even used it. Leather is one of those smells I adore. I find it has a calming affect on me as well as an arousing one. The smell makes me reminisce to past play times as well as being the foundation of creating many new memories. Mmmm Leather!

The Tantus Beginner Ball Gag packaging still comes with all those colourful Tantus trademark bubbles and like my other Tantus toys you still are greeted with your toy being visible through the packaging. When I signed up to test this ball gag, truth be told I didn’t do much looking at the product page. Usually I’d skim the product page, see if it would be suitable for me/us, with this I kinda took it for granted it was gonna be awesome because it is made by Tantus. Hence my surprise when I discovered the leather detachable straps.

The straps that come with the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag are fastened with velcro meaning if you feel at any point using it, you can’t cope or need to be released or even talk – whatever your situation is, this gag can be removed in seconds making it a very awesome first ball gag. As well as that, the velcro ties make the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag suitable to fit any head size. However, if your mouth is teeny tiny then this isn’t the gag for you.

The silicone used to make the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag is odorless, tasteless, non porous and 100% body safe

I personally find this gag easy to manage – I am quite partial to silicone gags as sometimes I quite like to bite down on them. However, when I originally picked this gag out – I had my OH in mind and his mouth is smaller than mine. He can wear it however it does get a bit uncomfortable, which when our play progresses, it shouldn’t be an issue. But right now, as a complete newbie to gags, I just feel it is too over whelming for him. It fills his mouth to the point where he feels he can’t breathe properly.

The ball end is quite large – it has a diameter of 1.6 inches. The entire piece is 2 inches in length and I feel this length is perfect for me. But again, this is all personal preference as he feels it wouldn’t be more comfortable if it were shorter.

The design of the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag is based on a child’s pacifier so if DD/lg or age play is your thing, this gag would really work for that in my opinion.

If I had to pick one flaw out – I dislike the embossed Tantus finish on the gag. My one came rough looking and I dislike how it could/can carry gunk in it. However, I can boil the living bejesus out of it due to it being 100% ultra premium silicone so hygiene issues don’t really bother me.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Tantus for sending me the Beginner Ball Gag in exchange for an honest and impartial review this however in no way changes my opinion on the item. What I honestly think, you read! All images displayed of Tantus Beginner Ball Gag are taken by myself!
